Marcus Reyes, Master Plumber
Marcus Reyes spent the first decade of his career as a journeyman in South Austin, watching too many neighbors get burned by vague estimates and 'discovered' problems mid-job. In 2014 he launched Brightwater with his brother Jon to do it differently — every job priced flat before a wrench turns, every finding documented with photos, every warranty written down. Today a crew of eight licensed techs runs out of our East Austin shop, serving homeowners from Pflugerville to Buda. We're small enough that Marcus still answers the after-hours phone, and experienced enough to handle anything from a stuck disposal to a full repipe.

Our dispatch guarantee is one hour inside our service area for true emergencies (active leaks, sewage backups, no water, no hot water in winter). If we can't be at your door in 60 minutes, you get 10% off the service. We back this up because all our trucks are stocked and tracked in real time.
Do you give quotes over the phone?
Yes — for straightforward work like a water heater swap, fixture install, or drain clear, we'll give you a firm number based on a short description and a photo. For diagnostic work (hidden leaks, slab issues) there's a flat $89 service call that goes toward the repair if you proceed. No hourly billing, ever.
Are you actually licensed and insured?
Yes. Marcus Reyes holds Texas Master Plumber License #M-41928. We carry $2M general liability and workers' comp on every tech — we'll send you the certificate on request. Ask any plumber who knocks on your door for theirs; a lot of folks in Austin can't produce one.
Can you handle a full bathroom or kitchen remodel?
Absolutely. We do rough-in plumbing for general contractors and homeowner-led renovations across Austin. We coordinate with your designer on fixture specs, pull the permits, schedule the inspections, and pressure-test everything before the walls close up.
What's the warranty on your work?
One-year labor warranty on every repair, in writing. Installed equipment (water heaters, fixtures, disposals) carries the manufacturer warranty on top, and we handle the paperwork if something fails. No fine print, no deductibles.
Do you charge extra for nights, weekends, or holidays?
No. Our flat rate is the flat rate — a Saturday morning drain clear costs the same as a Tuesday afternoon one. The only premium is for dispatch between midnight and 6am, and we disclose it before we roll.
